CLERK FAITH ANDREWS FUNDS 4TH AND FINAL INSTALLMENT OF THE COPS GRANT!
In her ongoing commitment to enhancing the safety and security of the citizens of Lake County, Clerk Faith Andrews is pleased to announce the funding of the fourth, and final, installment of the COPS Grant program. With this fourth installment, Clerk Andrews has provided $2.6 million in funding to pay for additional Sheriff patrols,particularly in the townships. Over the past 3 and a half years, Clerk Andrews has provided nearly $3 million for law enforcement to help keep Lake County residents safe.
The hard work and dedication of Clerk Andrews’ Title Division make it possible to provide Certificate of Title Surplus funds for this and MANY other essential programs that benefit the people of Lake County. Clerk Andrews understands that safe communities are a crucial component to maintaining a high-quality of life and robust economic development opportunities.
Commissioner Hamercheck approached Clerk Andrews in 2021 about funding for the COPs Grant, and there wa no hesitation. “It has been a privilege to be part of this collaborative effort with the Commissioners and Sheriff over the past 3 and a half years, Clerk Andrews said. This program directly benefits the residents of Lake County in a positive way without burdening the taxpayer. The COPS Grant program is a testament to what can be achieved through collaborative public service and fiscal responsibility.”
