Checks and Balances?…Can Lake County Save Our Seniors?

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall, Independent Populist. Average Citizen

Who can the citizens of Lake County depend on to ensure that there is no excessive taxation by the myriad of taxing authorities in Lake County?

We can tell you with complete assurance that it is not the Lake County Budget Commission.

Here is a video of their latest meeting held by the “Rubber Stamp Commission” reviewing updated tax budgets of several Lake County taxing authorities. We know that Auditor Galloway is not happy with their current role, but without clarification from the State legislators he has to follow Prosecutor Coulson’s directive that the Budget Commission cannot change any outside levies. However, they fail to consider revenue generated from inside (unvoted) levies.

Consequently, taxing authorities, such as Coulson’s Crime Lab, can accumulate millions more in tax revenues annually. than they need to operate. They are “sucking the lifeblood” out of the community, and do not care if seniors are being taxed out of their homes. Lake County’s public sector is quickly surpassing the private sector’s ability to pay for the services.

The question taxpayers need to answer: “What is the role of government?”

Here is a previous video that we published. It shows Auditor Galloway and Prosecutor Coulson discussing their position on the role of the Budget Commission.

Losing the American Dream
PROVE US WRONG

We really do not own our home, we are merely renters from the government.

ANY TAX THAT CAUSES A CITIZEN TO BECOME HOMELESS IS IMMORAL!
