Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith updated public officials on the state of property in the area on Thursday:
“While there is not a single solution to our state’s property tax issues, implementing these proposals would help ease the burden on Ohio’s property owners,” Montgomery County Auditor Karl Keith said Thursday. “Now is the time for the General Assembly to address the property tax crisis facing millions of Ohioans.”

Commissioners have complained for months about re-assessed property values that caused tax bills to jump dramatically. Recently, Trumbull County Commissioners suggested passing a resolution asking state lawmakers to reverse tax hikes there.
On Thursday, officials in Mahoning County suggested commissioners in both counties need to work together.”
