Lake County Commissioner John Plecnik

Real Ohioans do NOT care about the pointless bickering in Columbus over votes on vetos that won’t cut our taxes by a single penny.
Instead of calling an emergency session to fight over vetos, why not call for a vote to expand the homestead exemption to a 100% property tax exemption for seniors. With no limits, a full exemption for seniors would cost less than 3% of the State budget.
By the age of 65, you have already paid your fair share! Enough is enough!.
STOP the showboating and STOP taxing seniors out of their homes!

Commission Plecnik is right on the mark, but we have been told that our State legislators do not believe in “carve outs” for seniors.
There are only “carve outs” for the donor class.
