Is Lakeland Community College Ready to Ditch D.I.E?

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

It is hard to believe but we recorded the following video in September, 2022. New Trustee Matt Hebebrand was scolded by a long-term Lakeland professor for daring to even question the subject of Diversity, Inclusion and Equity. She was very suspicious of his motives for even mentioning it. She proudly stated that D.I.E. is the cornerstone of what they do a Lakeland.

It appears that diversity of thought was not acceptable at this taxpayer funded ($20 million a year in property taxes) “educational” institution.

Here is another video recorded in July, 2023…Gold “ole” Morris Beverage retires and leaves his legacy of D.I.E.

We will be at the Lakeland Community College Board meeting on Friday, August 24th to record the vote on Trustee Hebebrand’s latest attempt to remove D.I.E. from Lakeland Community College. We will record the vote of every Trustee.

Do the current Trustees still believe that Diversity, Inclusion and Equity is the cornerstone of teaching at Lakeland Community College? Is the $20 million in property taxes extracted each year from overtaxed Lake County citizens the only thing that the Trustees will accept from citizens?

Here are the current Trustees of Lakeland Community College

Stay tuned…it should be very interesting…they shall be judged by their “fruits”.

I addressed the Lakeland Board regarding their D.E.I. policy. Please note the conduct of Morgan McIntosh, Board Member and Concord Trustee. He must have been catching up on his emails…
