We are publishing an email we received from a patriot that is a member of the Ohio Gun Owners Association. It highlights the problems we see in the Ohio political leadership just on another important topic – the second amendment.
Ohio needs new blood in the Statehouse. Ohio is first in “aviation and 47th in everything else”.
Let me level with you as plainly and personally as I can:
This fight isn’t political anymore. It’s us, the gun owners who are the backbone of this state, against a political class that spits in our faces and hopes we won’t take direct ACTION in response to what they just did in Columbus.
THE NEW BOSS: SAME AS THE OLD
Ohio hasn’t passed a major pro-gun law since 2021, and it isn’t because we lacked the votes or because Ohioans stopped supporting the Second Amendment.
And it sure as hell isn’t because the 2nd Amendment wasn’t under attack the last four years.
No. It’s because weak Republicans in Columbus fear the media more than they fear you, and they are perfectly willing to sacrifice your rights on the altar of political convenience.
While Joe Biden unleashed the ATF on gun owners, raided homes, and rewrote gun laws through executive fiat (pistol brace ban, etc), our “Republican supermajority” did nothing.
.Worse, they jumped up on the campaign stage with Trump every time he came to Ohio and pretended they were MAGA, hoping gun owners like you and me wouldn’t notice.
.And now that Trump is back in the White House?
They’re doing it again.
MATT HUFFMAN IS RUNNING THE SAME OLD POLITICAL MACHINE
Here’s the back story you need to know on Ohio House Speaker Matt Huffman.
Matt Huffman “served” eight years in the Ohio Senate, and was “term-limited” from running again. So on December December 31, 2024, at midnight, he termed out as the “President of the Senate.”
The next day, now “State Representative” Matt Huffman became the Speaker of the Ohio House.
It’s the Merry-Go-Round of the permanent, establishment class in Columbus.
Nothing changed. Same stripes. Same cowardice. Just a different title.
In fact, even though Ohio supposedly has “term limits,” Matt Huffman has been “serving” in the Ohio General Assembly CONTINUOUSLY since January of 2007.
“COLUMBUS FIRST”
Matt Huffman does what the donor class and special interest lobbyists in Columbus tell him, unless he’s absolutely forced to do otherwise.
Part of “permanent Columbus” is the gun-control lobby, who parades around the Statehouse dolling out PAC checks, and half of them do it while they’re wearing their taxpayer-funded uniforms.
That’s why, as soon as HB382 (SAPA), HB495 (Freedom to Carry Act), and HB498 (Self-Defense Act) were introduced, Huffman intentionally sent them straight into the political graveyard:
The Ohio House Public Safety Committee
Public Safety is chaired by the most viciously anti-gun RINO in Ohio, State Representative Cindy Abrams.
Cindy is the same RINO who led the charge to derail SAPA last session, and Cindy is the same foul-mouthed degenerate who curses and screams obscenities behind closed-door caucus meetings.
Matt Huffman’s sending Ohio’s pro-gun agenda to her kill committee wasn’t an accident.
It’s a message. “Sit down, shut up, and wait your turn.” And that’s exactly what they think of you. But here’s what they always forget: OGO doesn’t do that sh*t.
