We were so glad that we got to see the culmination of many years of tireless effort by Mentor’s Linda O’Brien honoring total strangers that sacrificed for our great nation.
Two years ago we created the following video illustrating Linda’s concern over the state of affairs at Willoughby Hills’ Smith Family Cemetery, and her prayers that the community would rally around her efforts to preserve history.
We witnessed what can be done when the commandment to “Love thy Neighbor” is honored and followed by dedicated patriots. A huge thank you to the Willoughby Hills Mayor Chris Hallum and the former Law Director, Tom Lobe, for their support in making this project an outstanding reality.
We would also like to thank Lake County’s Men of Honor, an outstanding group of patriots dedicated to mentoring young men and addressing vital needs in the community. Their fund raising efforts made this day a reality.
Here is the first of several videos that we will publish commemorating Linda O’Brien’s dream of preserving Lake County’s history. Bravo Linda…Well done…Your prayers have been answered.
