Stay Alert, Be Engaged

It seems that we are on the march toward full blown socialism, and ultimately communism.  Our liberty and freedoms are under constant attack, and the average citizen must be aware what is at stake. Remember that evil works in incremental steps.  The November 2020 election is going to be pivotal for our nation.

Here is a refresher on what citizens can lose:

What is liberty? “It is the state of being free within society from oppressive restrictions imposed by authority on one’s way of life, behavior, or political views.”

What are the Bill of Rights?   They are the first 10 Amendments to the Constitution. They spell out Americans’ rights in relation to their government. They guarantee civil rights and liberties to the individual—like freedom of speech, press, and religion. Here are the first two amendments that everyone should know.

Amendment 1:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”

Amendment 2:
“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

Here are some examples of how our rights are currently under attack.

(1) A Mississippi pastor records police department saying your rights have been suspended.

(2) Kansas City, Missouri – Mayor demands to know names, addresses, and phone numbers of church members that are in the church building for more than 10 minutes.”

(3) We know this is happening in Canada, but do not think it cannot happen in the United States.  Their Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has just banned 1,500 different types of guns.

Those that are willing to forego their freedom and liberty for security will have neither.  It is imperative that citizens remain vigilant and engaged with what is happening in the world.
