Lake County Recorder’s Office is Open

Becky Lynch, Lake County Recorder, wants everyone to know that the Recorder’s office is open for business.

They are doing everything possible to ensure continuity of services for the public.

PRESS RELEASE

February 17, 2021 – Painesville, Ohio; 

Your Lake County Recorder is OPEN! 

Lake County land records of the Recorder are housed in the administration extension building of the Lake County building complex. 

If you need to get a copy of your deed or any land record documents the Recorder Public Records Rooms are open from 8am to 4pm daily. Even though the county buildings are closed to the general public, the public records are available and accessible. 

During this temporary time of government building closures, please remember that appointments can be made in order to complete necessary county business.

Recorder offices, where our staff serves customers, is separate from the Public Records Rooms and are also OPEN, although these offices are open by appointment only during this time. 

Recorder Office is scheduling appointments from 9am to 3pm daily.  Please call our main office line if you have any questions at 440-350-2510.

There are also a significant number of Recorder services which are available online such as document search with the AVA search engine and valuable property fraud alert system, compliments of our software technology vendor Fidlar Technologies, Inc. 

During these days of increased internet reliance, it is good to take extra precaution to keep your home’s ownership documents protected from greedy ‘deed thieves’!
