In previous posts, we mentioned that we have filed a request for a revaluation of our property to reduce our real estate taxes.  We initially filed our request with the Lake County Auditor’s office in January, 2018.

We just received a certified letter from the Auditor’s office scheduling a hearing on June 22nd.

When you are requesting a reduction in property values of $50,000 or more, then you must have a hearing with the Auditor’s’ office, and the lawyer for the respective school board will be in attendance.

We will keep you posted on what happens at the meeting, because We want you to know the procedures and what you can expect from the County and school officials.
