A Palace Coup Taking Place at Lakeland Community College

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

Just when we thought Lakeland Community College was on the correct path, they replaced two hard-working, dedicated board members, Ellen Foley Kessler, and Nancy Fellows. Now we hear that there is an even bigger palace coup – removal of the College President, Dr. Sunil Ahuja.

Our animated friends from the Lake County Average Citizens’ Club have a few things to tell the citizens of Lake County.

We know that the five board members that voted against the former President have been targeted for removal. If Dr. Ahuja is dismissed, we will bring in our version of DOGE, and the State of Ohio to expose how the taxpayers’ money has been wasted.

The College gets over $20 million in property taxes from the Lake County taxpayers. They have been using and abusing the taxpayers for years. Ever hear of the nice little gambit known as the Lakeland Institute? — Didn’t think so!

“Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.”

There are no checks and balances in Lake County to curtail the spending of any taxing authorities. There is no entity that is looking out for the financial interests of the average taxpayer. Commissioner John Plecnik spoke out against property taxes for seniors 65+ and was vilified for it. Commissioners Regovich and Beverage have failed, to date, to join Commissioner Plecnik in his concern for seniors.

To our readers we say….stay tuned for the rest of the story….
