By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall
We attended the last Lakeland Board meeting and recorded the following videos for our readers.
The first video demonstrates to me that Nancy Fellows is quietly tenacious, and she did not appreciate being removed from the board by the Lake County Commissioners. She fought back an won a Governor’s appointment back on the Board. It was if she was saying to the Commissioner’s “I don’t need you!”. That reminds me of “The Third” saying he does not need the Republican Party, but I digress…
Yours truly took the opportunity to address the board during the public comment section. I asked for official confirmation that Lakeland’s 2006 contract with North Shore Associates was, in deed, with former Congressman Dennis Eckart. The following invoice, one of many, many invoices, was sent to LFC based on our public records request. However, the actual contract has yet to be found because we were told it has been transferred to offsite storage. It seems strange that a contract that just ended in 2024 has been transferred to offsite storage. Finding storage space is the last thing that should concern this college.

I also mentioned my long standing concern about taxpayers’ money being wasted with the duplicative educational efforts of Lakeland, Auburn Career Center. and the Willoughby Eastlake School District.
I also took the opportunity to inform the Board of our efforts filing a petition with the State’s Attorney General to eliminate property taxes in the State of Ohio.

Stayed tuned…we will be continuing our L.O.G.E. efforts to expose the fraud, waste and abuse in all of the Lake County taxing authorities. Next up for Lakeland, we will be pulling back the curtain on expense reports.
We will continue our fight for citizens that no longer feel that they have a voice in government.
