Since we call out our elected officials when they, in our opinion, do not follow the Ohio Revised Code, we think that it is very important to compliment them when we believe that they have had a stand-out performance or position in public.
Such is the case with Commissioner Jerry Cirino last night. We heard him speak as part of a small panel discussion last night at the Morley library. The topic was illegal immigration, illegal aliens, and open borders. The audience was overwhelming in favor of open borders and letting the world’s population have unfettered access into the United States.
That fact did not dissuade Commissioner Cirino for supporting the need for a southern border wall and supporting the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
So a big “thumbs up” to Commissioner Cirino for doing what he can to ensure the safety, and well-being of all Lake County residents.
It is LFC’s position that open borders, to anyone with critical thinking skills, means the total destruction of the United States as we know it. This issue is not about humanity, but money, greed and power. Democrats want more people dependent on them to secure their votes, and Republicans are caving to their donor class that want cheaper labor to increase their bottom line. All the while, the average citizen gets to pay the costs for education and the welfare benefits of illegal aliens.
In 2017, Lake County taxpayers spent $16 million to educate non-English speaking students, and another $7 million in 2018. The welfare costs cannot be calculated because our governmental agencies, and the non-profits living off the government trough do not ask if the individual receiving the benefit is here illegally in the United States.
Since the current crop of Republican legislators will not fight to protect the average citizen, we would not be unhappy if we saw a complete overhaul at all levels. What do we have to lose? If we go down, we go down fighting!
NO BORDERS = NO SOVEREIGNTY = NO COUNTRY, it is not any more complicated than that.
