Do You Want Opportunity Or Security?

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

Thanks to a local patriot for sending us this very insightful video recorded by Paul Harvey in 1965.

“Do we want opportunity or security?”…Paul Harvey

Is the 250 year experiment of the United States over? Are you willing to accept socialism with the government controlling the lives of your children and grandchildren? Are you willing to have future generations relive the next “Dark Ages”?

Commissioner Ron Young was absolutely correct when he said that the two top priorities of government are: (1) To protect itself , and (2) To grow.

Our representative government in Ohio is merely an illusion. We need “new blood” in our State government. Young leaders that still believe in the American dream and way of life, and reject socialism as an acceptable form of government.

The immoral property taxes are symptomatic of a society that has chosen the wide path of destruction. If Ohioans continue to vote for property taxes they are funding their own demise and consigning future generations to be treated like slaves.

John Locke in his Treaties of Government (1689) argued that individuals possess natural rights to life, liberty, and property, and that the role of government is to protect these rights. Ohio has devolved into believing that one of the roles of government is to revalue private property in order to tax it. Bureaucrats can manipulate the value of private property in order to generate the funds the government’s taxing authorities need in order to provide services.

There are no checks and balances in our government to protect the financial interests of the citizens.

November 2026 is becoming a pivotal month in the future of the State of Ohio. Will citizens step up to vote for the amendment to abolish property taxes and establish a new direction for their State, or will they accept the socialist trap eliminating private property ownership?
