We are trying to provide a forum that allows both sides of an issue an equal voice. To that end, here is the response from Concord’s capable Administrator, Mr. Andy Rose, to our various articles on Concord Township’s 28 year bond levy for their 24,000 square feet fire station.
Response to Massie article 08122019
We have already conceded that the Concord fire stations need to be upgraded, and that the Concord EMS and firemen do an outstanding job. We also concede that Mr. Rose and the Trustees believe that they are doing what is in the best interests of the Concord residents. However, we vehemently disagree with the total implementation of the entire plan. We ask that we live within our means. FAR TOO MUCH SPACE, COSTS AND DEBT!
STOP PRICING SENIORS AND THOSE LIVING ON FIXED INCOMES OUT OF THEIR HOMES THAT THEY HAVE WORKED ALL THEIR LIVES TO ACHIEVE.
We can debate this issue “until the cows come home”, but ultimately the voters get to make the final decision on November 5th.
