Well, I just had a “first” happen to me tonight. I was denied the chance to provide transparency to the citizens of Lake County by the League of Women Voters.
Here is their flyer announcing their candidate forums. We have recorded these forums before without any issue. We were hoping to record Commissioner John Plecnik and his Democrat opponent for Lake County Commissioner. Also, State Representative Jessie Styles was presenting his qualifications against his Independent Candidate (formerly Republican) Belinda Grassi.
We will be following up with Concord Township Administrator’s Andy Rose to determine the deal Concord has made with the League of Women Voters.
We always knew the League of Women Voters leaned heavily to the left. It now appears that they have adopted the Democratic Socialists of America mantra and are now full blown socialists/communists. Be very wary of ANYTHING coming from the communist group.
