We had the privilege of recording a Daughters of American Revolution event commemorating Constitution Week on September 17th at the Lake County Administration building. The Liberty Bell was rung 13 times for the original 13 colonies of the United States.
New Connecticut Chapter, NSDAR

One common thread that unites all DAR members; each member can trace her family tree to someone who contributed to American independence during the American Revolutionary War. There are four ways in which an ancestor might have contributed. They might have fought in the war, helped fund the war, provided material assistance, or signed an oath of allegiance like the oath signed at Valley Forge. If you think that you have this connection to the American Revolutionary War in your family tree, we encourage you to apply for membership. Over one million women have joined the DAR since its founding in 1890.
The New Connecticut Chapter, NSDAR is a local lineage group located in Painesville, Ohio, that was organized and chartered in November and December of 1897.

- Founding: Organized in November 1897 and chartered in December 1897, with Mary Augusta Stockwell serving as the first regent.
- Community Impact: Founded the first chartered hospital in downtown Painesville (Painesville Hospital) in 1902.
