Pondering on Lake County Judges

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall

My musings and writings about the legal case between “He who shall not be named” and the “Rooster” had me pondering about Lake County judges.

Upon researching the Facebook page of Judge Michael Cicconetti, we found this video that clearly shows the Judge endorsing Judge Marisa Cornachio in spades.

We have to admit that the Judge revealed something that is knew to us:

“The Court of Appeals is a court that must follow the law and not make decisions based on personal beliefs” ….Judge Michael Cicconetti

Huh? We thought all courts must follow the law? It is now crystal clear that Lake County judges may decide our fate on their personal beliefs and not the law. That should send a shiver up your spine. Justice may be just an illusion in Lake County.

Judge Cornachio is “He who shall not be named” ‘s friend and issued the arrest warrant for the Rooster. Was she following the law, or did she base her decision on the personal belief that her friend “He who shall not be named” wanted him arrested? Why didn’t she just issue a summons for him to appear in court?

It is now crystal clear that it is acceptable in Lake County for a retired judge to earn money by being appointed to a court case by a Municipal judge that he has endorsed for higher office.

We wonder if it is acceptable for Judge Cicconetti to state publicly after the court case that the Kirtland Chief of Police should never have arrested Donald Byrnes (a.k.a. the Rooster)?

When the case is appealed on the fact that Judge Cicconetti would not dismiss the case based on the freedom of speech defense, nor allow the jurors to hear the freedom of speech defense with the jury instructions, maybe, just maybe, the court that is supposed to “follow the law” will save freedom of speech in Lake County.

Unfortunately, that is a “definite maybe” with our current judicial system.

We are requesting that Judge Cicconetti stick to cases saving kittens, and pass on cases dealing with freedom and liberty. Leave those for patriots.
