Elderly Abuse….a growing problem

Here is a topic that does not get mentioned enough.  The non-profit ‘Lake Council on Aging’ and the governmental agency ‘Job and Family Service’ handle the issues dealing with elderly abuse.

Here is an article from community solutions that gives a great deal of detail.  (highlight and right click to go to the webpage)

  11. Crazy CA, here.

Their advertising, (all advertising) “sounds” good until they get a-hold of you, get you in the system, then they will be in control of your life, doing it “their” way. If you like Communistic type control, OK, but I don’t.

Having worked in senior-care, 25 years, and volunteered in Hospice for over 8 years, I’ve heard & seen too much coming and it scares me.

I loved bring comfort and companionship to my Seniors & Hospice but, after a lifetime, I have quit. Too scary, what was expected of me, vaccinations, etc., and I saw too much. You wouldn’t like it, either.

These people don’t know you, they only know a step-by-step system for taking control. The HIPPA law helps them to take your loved-ones away from you, and, they love the power, those Social Workers.

“The saddest day of their life” was the day they asked this agency to help. Yup! That’s what a 50+ y.o. adult child said to me. I heard more, too much.

Communicate, do your best to work things out but don’t give these agencies life.
