Zuren & Plecnik Help Pets in Need with Willowick Pet Food Pantry
LAKE COUNTY, OHIO – On April 25, 2020, Former Willoughby Hills Councilman John Plecnik and Eastlake Councilman Mike Zuren volunteered with the Willowick Pet Food Pantry to distribute over 3,000 pounds of dog and cat food to our neighbors in need. Both Plecnik and Zuren serve as Members of the Board of Advisors for the Willowick Pet Food Pantry, which is a nonprofit that partners with Willo Praise Church to distribute many thousands of pounds of pet food each year and subsidizes the cost of medical care and microchipping for pets. In response to COVID-19 and the economic hardship it has caused Lake County and surrounding communities, the Willowick Pet Food Pantry has increased its distributions of pet food and now operates with curbside pickup to ensure the safety of volunteers and those they serve. Just drive up and a volunteer will ask you whether you need dog or cat food and we will hand you the food or load the back seat or trunk of your vehicle. God bless you and stay safe!
