Remember These Judges When You Vote

LFC Comments: Please remember these names [Kennedy and French] when you vote on November 3rd, or sooner, if you choose to vote early.

Ohio Supreme Court Delays Justice, Harms Families

“Cleveland Right to Life is standing with Citizens for Community Values in their statement below. We find the actions of the 8 Supreme Court Justices to be extremely offensive to the millions of Ohio families who have been denied the right to make their own educational choices for their children. When it is a proven fact that our school systems are being used to push a highly sexualized pro-abortion, pro-LBGTQ, anti-Christian agenda on our students, parents must have the right, and be supported in that right, to choose where their children will be most protected from these harmful “education” programs. We stand with CCV in calling out the justices who voted to dismiss this challenge.”

— Molly Smith, President, Cleveland Right to Life

Statement from Citizens for Community Values President Aaron Baer on the dismissal of their lawsuit to protect the rights of students to access a high quality education.

COLUMBUS – This morning, after eight months of delay, the Ohio Supreme Court dismissed Citizens for Community Values v DeWine, a legal challenge to legislation freezing EdChoice scholarship enrollment passed in January 2020. The following statement is from CCV President Aaron Baer:

“The Ohio Supreme Court should be ashamed of and embarrassed by their blatant disregard of the law and the well-being of children. The audacity of the Justices to sit eight months on an emergency motion, then blame the “passage of time” for rendering a case moot is the epitome of arrogance and ignorance.

“Under the leadership of former Speaker Larry Householder, the General Assembly rammed through and Governor DeWine signed an unconstitutional bill to strip tens of thousands of families access to EdChoice vouchers. Members of the General Assembly even acknowledged at the time as they were voting for the bill that it was unconstitutional.

“But because the State Supreme Court dragged their feet, and wouldn’t stand up for the law and the families left scrambling to figure out how to educate their children, former Speaker Householder’s unconstitutional maneuver has been bailed out.

“This is the height of ‘justice delayed is justice denied.’”

“Ohioans should remember who pulled this stunt on families:

  • Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor
  • Justice Sharon Kennedy [Running for re-election]
  • Justice Judith French [Running for re-election]
  • Justice Pat F. Fischer
  • Justice Pat DeWine
  • Justice Michael Donnelly
  • Justice Melody J. Stewart.

“As COVID has shown, it is essential for families to have educational options. Citizens for Community Values and the Ohio Christian Education Network will continue to fight for families and schools. Ohio children and families should know we hear their voices, even if the seven justices on the court are ignoring them.”

LFC Comments: Let’s take a look at who is running for Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court:

Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge John P. O’Donnell, a Lakewood Democrat, is challenging the re-election of Republican Justice Sharon Kennedy, of Middletown.

Former Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat on the Ohio Court of Appeals (10th District), is challenging the re-election of Republican Justice Judith French.

Strange isn’t it…Judges are not supposed to be identified by political party. Are you convinced they drop the (D) or (R) when the put on the black robes?…Neither do we!

LFC recently wrote about current Lake County Commissioner and State Senator wannabe, Jerry Cirino, and his relationship with Justice Sharon Kennedy. By the way Jerry’s opponent is the well financed Betsy Rader (D).

The voters get to decide on whether or not to support the re-election of Justice Kennedy and Justice French.

Quite frankly, both political parties are morally bankrupt, and neither seems to be interested in the average citizen and their families. Vote for the Democrats and we will be running toward the abyss, vote for RINO Republicans and we will be walking briskly toward the abyss. Some choice, eh?

Remember the “D” in Democrat means, death, dismemberment, deception, division, and destruction. RINO Republicans have bailed on the original concept of freedom and liberty and have gravitated toward strong centralized government control with the power elites in charge.

At least the Democrats are transparent in their actions to destroy our nation and turn into the “United Communist States”. With the RINO’s in charge the nation will suffer a “slow death of a thousand cuts”.

Lies, deceptions, and betrayal abound in the current Republican Party.

Conservatives believing in the freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness afforded to all in the original constitution do not have a home in either party.

  5. She is saying that by unconstitutionally taking away Ed Choice vouchers from tens of thousands of families, these Supreme Court Justices are effectively making it impossible for a lot of families to send their kid to a private school, being that most families cannot afford the tuition costs of such schools. Families will now be forced to send their kids to public schools, stripped of the private school option.
Kudos to Molly Smith for the great, eye-opening article!
