Trump is the most PRO-LIFE President ever.

President Donald Trump announced in a pre-recorded video at the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast Wednesday morning that he plans to sign a “born alive” executive order, ensuring medical care for all babies, including those born prematurely or after an attempted abortion.

“Today I’m announcing that I will be signing the Born Alive executive order to ensure that all precious babies born alive, no matter their circumstances, receive the medical care that they deserve,” Trump said.

Trump vowed to protect religion, prayer, and the right to life, calling the protection of children the country’s “sacrosanct moral duty.”

The president has hammered the issues of late-term abortion and infanticide ever since a Virginia bill introduced in January 2019 would have allowed abortion up until birth, eliminated informed consent, and permitted late-term abortions in outpatient clinics. Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam endorsed the bill, explaining that babies born alive despite an attempted abortion would only be kept alive and resuscitated if “that’s what the mother and the family desired” after a “discussion” between them and doctors.

Voting starts in Virginia TODAY, and we are going to WIN. You have a crazy Governor who wants to take away your guns, which he will do without me in office. He is in favor of executing babies after birth – this isn’t late-term abortion, this is a step way beyond! Vote for me…152K

In February, the “Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act,” which would have required medical providers to “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion,” failed to pass the Senate 56-41.

Details about Trump’s “Born Alive” executive order have yet to be released. Madeline Osburn is a staff editor at the Federalist and the producer of The Federalist Radio Hour. Follow her on Twitter.

[LFC Comments: The deceptive language of proposed bills in Congress never cease to amaze us. What they really mean by “exercise the proper degree of care in the case of a child who survives an abortion or attempted abortion,” is “wrap them up in a blanket, do nothing else, and just let the baby die”. If you think that is compassionate, then you have lost your soul.]
