Financial Disclosure Statements for Cirino, DeWine and Lawson

[LFC Comments: Thanks to a Lake County lobbyist for sending us the most recent Financial Disclosure statements submitted to the State of Ohio Ethics Commission by Jerry Cirino, Candidate for the Ohio State Senate, Governor Mike DeWine, and current Juvenile Court Judge Karen Lawson.

The Financial Disclosure statements provide the sources of income for all political candidates and office holders.]

We decided to do further investigations into Mr. Cirino’s investments, and we saw that he has diversified his portfolio to include energy stocks. If you remember, Mr. Cirino was a very strong advocate for the debacle known as House Bill 6 that was a bail out for the nuclear power plants. First Energy stockholders got a stock buy back, and a few hundred million was sent to the Perry Nuclear Plant to keep it operational for a few years. The F.B.I. is still investigating the $61 million payments from First Energy to a political non-profit. Here is a link to the articles we wrote about H.B. 6 and the corruption surrounding it.

We were told the the electric grid, from which we get our electricity, surrounds the Great Lakes. All creators of electricity, coal, nuclear, wind, solar panels, natural gas, all tie in to the grid, and increase the generation of the electricity as is needed.

We will let the voters decide the appropriateness of a State Senator having investments in energy stocks.

  1. No problem investing in energy stocks. Although there are better investments, utilities are a safe bet.
