Recap of CATA vs. Auburn Career Center Lawsuit

By Brian Massie, A Watchman on the Wall, Independent Populist, Average Citizen

We are committed to our mission of promoting honesty, integrity and transparency in government by exposing the lies, deceptions and betrayals.

We received a copy of the following letter written by GREEN HAINES SGAMBATI Co., L.P.A. They have provided the details of the lawsuit between Auburn Career Center and The Career and Technical Association (CATA) labor union.

To whom it may concern,

The Career and Technical Association (“CATA”) is a labor union that represents a bargaining unit of employees who are employed by the Auburn Vocational School District Board of Education (“Board”). For the past thirteen years, CATA and the Board have been engaged in a dispute over payment of wages owed to teachers under Section 21.4 of the Parties’ collective bargaining agreement (“CBA”). Below please find an explanation of what has taken place up to this point.

We reported this whole sordid affair to the Ohio Auditor of State. We will let our readers know what the State of Ohio says about our claim of wasteful spending of taxpayers’ money.

Here is the document we received from the State Auditor’s office after we filed our complaint. We will report to our readers when we hear from the State of Ohio Auditor’s office.

Here are the current Auburn Career Center’s Board and Superintendent that we believe are now guilty of malfeasance for not paying CATA’s claims, and continue to waste taxpayer’s money on legal fees.

We have also provided links to the ten articles we have written expressing our objections to Auburn Career Center wasting taxpayers’ money on legal fees after they have lost every time they have gone to court.
