Thanks to Geauga’s Skip Claypool for sending us the following video.

In the video, Rep. Bill Roemer (R) District 31 Richfield and Rep. David Thomas (R) District 65 Jefferson present the details on proposed legislation.
Thanks to Rep. Thomas for taking the immense pressure from the County governments, and school boards. His recommendations to eliminate the inside millage is certainly a solid step in the right direction.
In case there is any doubt, allow us confirm for our State legislators and to the Township Trustees and Administrators our mission for the citizens in the State of Ohio, regardless of ANY proposed legislation.
Homeownership is the foundation of freedom and liberty. We will no longer accept being merely a renter from the government. We will continue to collect signatures to abolish property taxes in the State of Ohio. Citizens deserve the right to be heard. The Government must not be able to foreclose on our homes.
If we cannot get the initiative on the ballot on November, 2025, we will get it on the ballot either May or November 2026.
Property taxes will become a very important issue in the Governor’s race in 2026. Let’s see which candidate believes in individual freedom and liberty. Which candidate will ensure that the government sector cannot outgrow the private sector’s ability to pay for services? Which candidate will ensure that Ohio citizens want to remain in the State, and ensure that citizens are not priced out of their homes that they have worked all their lives to achieve?
