Leonard Gilbert and Brian Massie were invited to speak at the Ohio County Commissioners’ Winter Conference in Columbus on December 3, 2025.
The moderator was Karen Kesler of the Statehouse News Bureau.
This was the most hostile group that we have faced so far.
After the event, Leonard and I were convinced that this group does not agree that home ownership is the foundation of freedom and liberty. They are not “out of the box” thinkers and are very satisfied in their government jobs, and will do as much fear mongering as the State legislators to get the citizens to accept their fate of being merely renters from the government.
They gave no thought about the welfare of future generations, and reducing the size and scope of government is a foreign concept to most of this group.
In our opinion, the State of Ohio is in serious trouble. It is run by socialists, and the 250 year experiment of the United States’ form of government may be over.
Ohioans have a chance to save freedom and liberty for future generations and to drastically cut the size of Ohio’s bloated government.
