Dear Lake county circulators !
We have been collecting signatures outside board of elections in many counties across Ohio, and we continue doing so this week. Early voting hours are as follows:
Mon Oct 26th 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Tues Oct 27th 7:30 am to 8:30 pm (absentee ballot APPLICATIONS must be received by your BOE by 8:30 pm)
Wed Oct 28th 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Thurs Oct 29th 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Fri Oct 30th 7:30 am to 7:30 pm
Saturday Oct 31st 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Sunday Nov 1st from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Circulators have run into opposition in a few counties. In Montgomery county, a 77-year old male circulator was handcuffed by a deputy and brought inside the Board of Elections as an intimidation tactic. Ax Ohio Tax is still gathering information about this outrageous incident. We have every right to be outside the BOE as long as we are not impeding traffic and are positioned 100 ft from the doors.
In Clark County, the Board of Elections head is a hothead and tried to convince our circulators they were on private property. No Board of Elections are on private property. A few Clark county officials tried their best to intimidate circulators by arguing with them. It did not work. Ax Ohio Tax circulators are still collecting there every day.
In Mahoning county, a left leaning group who stands in the parking lot with their slate cards told voters all week not to talk to us because we are Republicans. I walked over to them and spoke nicely to stop doing that because our initiative is for both sides of the aisle, and both sides of the aisle are signing this petition. But Saturday they took it to a new level by yelling to voters “if you are a homeowner do not sign that petition!!” to which yours truly responded by marching inside the BOE and getting the deputy to come outside and address them. After that they were quiet. Mahoning county BOE Chair is aware of us being harassed, knows we stand in our proper places when circulating, and wholeheartily agrees that we have every right to get this to the ballot.
If anyone wants to know how everything can be funded if property taxes go away, Marcell Strbich (retired Air Force Intelligence Officer) made a very thorough presentation earlier this month detailing how taxes can be restructured available on youtube (Town hall in Findlay, Ohio).

If you have 24 or so signatures, please send them to Brian Massie so that he can process them. Sending them in regularly helps him access where we are.
