I want to begin by thanking you for your unwavering support of me and my organization, The Center for Medical Progress, and our groundbreaking reporting on Planned Parenthood’s trafficking and sale of aborted baby body parts.
 
As you know, I am engaged (so far) in five separate legal battles with the abortion industry, but I wanted to write to you today to warn you about the most pressing danger we face.
 
You see, Vice Presidential candidate Kamala Harris colluded with Planned Parenthood to silence me and charge me with crimes for exposing their illegal activities when she was the Attorney General of California.
 
As you likely remember, I went undercover to report on the abortion industry for 30 months.
 
During that time, I attended and recorded hundreds of hours of meetings with abortion representatives.
 
What I found was horrifying.
 
Planned Parenthood was engaging in a massive scheme to sell aborted baby body parts for profit.
 
You and I already knew that Planned Parenthood peddled abortion to fill their quotas – but now we know they did it to meet the demand of outside companies and turn an even bigger profit.
 
It shocked and horrified me to sit by and listen to top abortion doctors talk about using ultrasound to flip a baby to a feet-first position to pull out of the mother intact and alive, or another laugh about buying a six-figure “Lamborghini” with the money she made from selling the babies they killed.
 
Once I had completed the investigation, I went to law enforcement to report the evidence we uncovered and seek justice for the victims.
 
Then I started releasing the undercover videos so that the public could know the truth about the taxpayer-funded abortion industry.

I thought that, surely, these undeniable videos would prompt the justice system to investigate and prosecute Planned Parenthood.
 
Imagine my surprise when instead, Planned Parenthood’s friends in the California justice system decided to prosecute me.
 
On April 5, 2016, I was taking out my kitchen garbage outside of my small one bedroom apartment when, suddenly, eleven heavily armed California DOJ agents, all dressed in tactical gear and sent by then CA Attorney General Kamala Harris, piled out of a large van and ransacked my home.
 
Fortunately, I was able to reach my attorney Peter Breen at the Thomas More Society, but during our conversation, an agent forced me to hang up and hand over my phone.
 
They tore my small apartment apart, they took my videos, computers, and other belongings away as “evidence,” but left alone the stack of invoices for baby body parts from Planned Parenthood’s business partners.
 
Undercover video reporting is legal and widely used in California—yet I became the first case ever to be criminally prosecuted for it under California’s video recording law, at the same time that Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation (NAF) were pursuing federal lawsuits against me.
 
Kamala Harris and the abortion industry wanted to put me behind bars for exposing their heinous acts.
 
Make no mistake, Kamala Harris would like nothing more than to silence every single pro-life advocate in the county and give Planned Parenthood the ability to perform unlimited abortions and have taxpayers foot the bill.
 
But, with your help, we’re fighting back…
 
…And the war is far from over.
 
This spring, I filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Kamala Harris, current CA AG Xavier Becerra, Planned Parenthood, and others for violating my First Amendment civil rights.
 
You see, no other journalist has ever been prosecuted under this 60-year old law for audio or video recordings that have been taken while undercover.
 
They’re coming after me because I don’t fit their agenda of abortion-on-demand and infanticide.
 
Thanks to your outpouring of support, we should be able to post the $600,000 appeal bond which means Planned Parenthood can’t seize our resources and effectively shutdown The Center for Medical Progress.
 
But now the real battle begins – believe me we’ll need far more to execute this appeal against the unjust $1.7 million judgment that was rendered against me.
 
On top of that, I’m still facing 9 felony charges in California criminal court, while I’m defending the federal lawsuits from NAF and Planned Parenthood.
 
AND NOW, I’m fighting back with a landmark federal civil rights lawsuit against Kamala Harris, CA AG Xavier Beccara and the State of California for targeting my speech.
 
Over the next 12 months these legal battles will cost an estimated 4 MILLION dollars.
