Local and National Aging Trends

LFC Comments: Here are some very interesting statistics that may or may not alarm our readers. By 2030 there will be more people in the U.S. over 65 than under 18.

So where do we get the workers? We can accept the United Nations concept that we are all “citizens of the world”, and there are no more nation states. Or, the technology will develop the artificial intelligence to the point that transhumanism will become a reality.

The debate will then be: “How do you define a human”?

In Lake County, Ohio we already have a greater percentage of residents over 65 than 18 and under. [20.6% versus 18.7%]

The female population in Lake County is 51.2%. We will go out on a limb and suggest that 49.8% of the population are males, but since we are not biologists we could be wrong on that one.
