At the risk of being charged with “cultural appropriation”, we hereby give the Morley Library Board of Trustees our first “Chutzpah” Award for 2018 for having the audacity to place a renewal levy on the ballot and then double down on the audacity by converting this to a “Continuous” [read: FOREVER] levy, so that they no longer have to be accountable to the taxpayers of their five taxing districts.
It was a tough choice between Morley Library and Lakeland Community College – perhaps we will hand out two awards this year.

When we reviewed the names of their Board of Trustees, we have, perhaps, discovered the reason why they want a “Continuous” [read: FOREVER] levy. This Trustee has had experience in supporting “FOREVER” levies, and Concord residents will be paying the price FOREVER. The deception is very subtle.
Morley Library can rightly proclaim that they are Number 1. Stay tuned for more articles , as we “peel back this onion” and show the Lake County taxpayers where they are number 1. Like the onion, it stinks to the core!
