It’s a Matter of Life…why worry?

“It’s A Matter of Life…”

Written by “Anonymous One”

Today’s troubles can make it seem that the world is turned upside down as the values we hold dear as Christians—the sanctity of human life, the beauty of the Biblical family modeled after the Holy Trinity, this nation gifted to us by God seem to be under attack and eroding at an alarming pace.
When we are tempted to worry, we should remember that worrying is what we do when we are not sure that God has it right. Our Lord laid down the rule for us in times such as this: “So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today” (Mt 6:34).
Each day has its own trials; we are not to borrow troubles from tomorrow, because that day too will have its cross. We can take comfort in the knowledge that evil may have its hour but God will have His day.
Bible Passages about “worrying”:

Luke 12:28-30 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

28 But if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You men of little faith! 29 And do not seek what you will eat and what you will drink, and do not keep worrying. 30 For [a]all these things the nations of the world eagerly seek; but your Father knows that you need these things.

Luke 12:24-26 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds! 25 And which of you by worrying can add a single [a]hour to his [b]life’s span? 26 If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters?

Matthew 6:25-34 New American Standard Bible (NASB)

The Cure for Anxiety ] “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they? And who of you by being worried can add a single hour to his life? …

  1. Today’s troubles? You mean biblical troubles? Where the following was rampant:
