We attended the Port Authority meeting this week, and listened to a presentation of the master plan for the redevelopment of the the Lake County airport currently called “Lost Nation”. There will be some consideration given to renaming the airport.
The project will be in three stages:
Phase 1: (2018 – 2022) estimated cost $18,315,000
Phase 2: (2023 – 2027) estimated cost $20,743,000
Phase 3: (2028 – 2036+) estimated cost $7,360,000
Total Development Plan Cost: $46,418,000
Most of the funding will come from the federal government. There was no mention of Lake County’s cost of this project.
