YouTube censors LFC’s report on Riverside School Board Meeting

LFC Comments by Brian Massie –

Based on the content of this article, we received a notice from YouTube that a video taken during the meeting violated YouTube’s medical misinformation policy.

How can reporting what happened at a school board meeting a violation of YouTube’s medical misinformation policy?

Ladies and gentlemen, regardless of what side of the aisle you are on, the attacks on our free speech should be very, very concerning to everyone. Their reason for censorship is classic socialist/communist lies, deception and betrayal – “for your safety”.

They removed the video that we created showing proponents of wearing masks in the Riverside School District.

Hi Brian Massie,

Our team has reviewed your content, and, unfortunately, we think it violates our medical misinformation policy. We’ve removed the following content from YouTube:

Video: Riverside For Making Masks Mandatory 91621
We know that this might be disappointing, but it’s important to us that YouTube is a safe place for all. If content breaks our rules, we remove it. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can appeal and we’ll take another look. Keep reading for more details.

How your content violated the policy:

YouTube does not allow content that spreads medical misinformation that contradicts local health authorities’ or the World Health Organization (WHO) medical information about COVID-19. Learn more here.

We appealed the decision because all sides of the issue must be heard, and it was average citizens expressing their opinions. Here is their decision. It looks like we will have to find another platform to replace YouTube….sad, so very sad what is happening to our country.

Hi Brian Massie,

We have reviewed your appeal for the following content:

Video: Riverside For Making Masks Mandatory 91621

We reviewed your content carefully, and have confirmed that it violates our medical misinformation policy. We know this is probably disappointing news, but it’s our job to make sure that YouTube is a safe place for all.

How this affects your channel
We won’t be putting your content back up on YouTube. If your appeal was for a warning, you will not be given another warning in the future. If your appeal was for a strike, the strike will remain on your channel.

You can find more information about warnings and strikes at the YouTube Help Center.

Sincerely,
The YouTube Team
